About SMPS Long
Island Our Vision Inspiring Professionals • Creating Community • Building Business Our Mission The mission of the Long Island Chapter of The Society for Marketing Professional Services is to be the premier forum for education and networking that creates community, facilitates business, and inspires professionals marketing for the built environment. What is SMPS? The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) was created in 1973 by a small group of professional services firm leaders who recognized the need to sharpen skills, pool resources, and work together to create business opportunities. Today, the association has a membership of 6,500+ marketing and business development professionals from architectural, engineering, planning, interior design, construction, and specialty consulting firms located throughout the United States and Canada. SMPS Long Island SMPS Long Island was formed in July 2004 to provide education, networking and business opportunities for marketing professionals in the A/E/C industry. SMPS Long Island has been nationally recognized as one of the Society's fastest growing Chapters. As a young chapter, we feel we have come a long way toward providing a much needed resource for A/E/C marketers and principals on Long Island. We are a very enthusiastic and motivated group, and encourage our members to become involved in the Chapter. Attend a program! Join a committee! Sponsor a program! Board of Directors The SMPS Long Island Board of Directors is composed of experienced marketing professionals in the A/E/C industry on Long Island. They are leaders in their profession, many having been in the industry for more than 15 years. They represent a cross section of industry firms large and small, with varying specialties and services, allowing for a well-rounded perspective on opportunities and goals. Their dedication to the growth of the marketing profession is apparent in the time and expertise they lend helping not only the Chapter grow, but also the members themselves.
