  Jane Felsen Gertler, CPSM
President

With a background in television production, advertising and public relations, Jane Felsen Gertler established the Marketing Department at Spector Group nearly 20 years ago. Through the creation of a strong brand and strategic planning that incorporates development of presentation materials, collaterals, direct mail campaigns, design award programs, media coverage and community service programs, Ms. Gertler and her marketing team have successfully evolved, communicated and strengthened Spector Group's brand, expanding awareness of the firm's diverse projects to international markets. She directed development of Spector Group's website (www.spectorgroup.com) and served as a Juror for the 2003 Entablature Awards, a national competition for architectural website design. In addition to being co-author of Spector Group: Architecture as a Design Partnership, a 192-page monograph published by Rockport Press, Ms. Gertler's articles on marketing have been published in New York Construction News, New York Real Estate Journal, Shopping Center World and Long Island Business News. She has lectured on marketing design services to SMPS, IABC, NACORE and the New York Institute of Technology.

 
       

       
  Andrew J. Weinberg, CPSM
President-Elect

Andrew is the Director of Marketing for The LiRo Group, a leading firm providing program/construction management, engineering, and architecture. He oversees a department of seven, responsible for all marketing functions for the group of affiliated firms that cover multi-disciplined professional services in the tri-state area. Andrew has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and has been a professional marketer for over 17 years.

Andrew joined SMPS in 1998, and his involvement has grown steadily ever since. First as committee member, then Vice Chair, and then joining the Board as Director of Communications for the New York Area Chapter for two years. As a founding Board Member of the Long Island Chapter, Andrew served as Director of Communications for its first two years, and last year as Director of Programs.  He attained his CPSM status in 2005.

 
       

       
  Hiara Guevara-Delgado
Immediate Past-President

Hiara is currently the Director of Marketing and Administration for CSM Engineering, P.C., a certified Women-Owned Minority, Long Island based firm specializing in Civil Engineering and Construction Inspection Services where she implements and monitors the day-to-day operation of the business. Ms. Guevara-Delgado has been serving the marketing industry for over 14 years with over 10 years specifically in the A/E/C industry in the capacities of Marketing Coordinator and later Marketing Manager/Director. She has been an active member of SMPS for over seven years and was involved in the revitalization of the Long Island Affiliate. Hiara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the State University of New York at Albany.

 
       

       
  Ellen Talley
Secretary

Ellen Talley has been active in SMPS since 2002. She has worked in the architectural and design industry for over 16 years. Currently, Ellen is a Contract Specialist with The New Patcraft & Designweave for the New York State counties of Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tufts University and an Associates Degree in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. For the last three years, Ellen has played a significant role in the launching of SMPS Long Island. When she is not busy recruiting new members for our organization, Ellen can be seen running around Long Island disguised as a soccer mom, tennis mom, baseball mom, and the all-important snack mother! Twinkies anyone?

 
       

       
  Harvey Bienstock, P.E.
Treasurer

Harvey Bienstock is a Professional Engineer and Director of Marketing for James LaSala & Associates, LLP, a consulting engineering company specializing in MEP/Civil Engineering. Harvey has over 40 years of engineering experience with a majority of that time also involved with marketing. Harvey has both a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Engineering, is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states, and was a founding member of SMPS Long Island.

 
       

       
  Matthew G. DeLange
Director of Communications

Matt DeLange is Director of Marketing & Strategic Communications with Dvirka & Bartilucci Consulting Engineers. Prior to joining Dvirka & Bartilucci, Matt was owner of GU3 Design, providing graphic design, database design, and marketing infrastructure consulting services to A/E/C and entertainment industry clients, such as Pineapple Grove Architectural Ornamentation, The Regional Group, CSM Engineering, PC, Sony/BMG; Grammy-winning musician, Michael Hedges; Big Planet Music; Stropes Editions, Ltd.; and numerous independent musicians and labels in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. From 2000-2006, Matt was Marketing Manager for Lockwood, Kessler & Bartlett, Inc., where he developed the firm's first electronic marketing infrastructure and managed the firm's tactical marketing operations. Matt also designed and manages SMPS Long Island's web site at www.smpsli.org.

 
       

       
  Diana M. Soldano, CPSM
Director of Membership

Diana is a Certified Professional Services Marketer with over 20 years experience in marketing for engineering and architectural firms. As the Regional Marketing Manager for Eschbacher VHB Engineering, Surveying and Landscape Architecture, P.C., a civil and transportation consulting engineering firm, she oversees a variety of marketing and business development related tasks. Her responsibilities include the coordination of proposal and qualification submissions, client/interview presentations, the creation of marketing communication materials and strategic planning for the firm.

Diana has been a member of SMPS for 18 years and was on the founding Board of Directors for the Long Island Chapter. She has presented Leadership Workshops for SMPS National and has been a guest speaker for ZweigWhite’s Audioconference series, which covers best practices, hot topics and the latest trends in the design and construction industry.

 
       

       
  Beatriz Seinuk-Ackerman
Director of Programs

Beatriz Seinuk-Ackerman, V.P. Marketing and Business Development with Ysrael A. Seinuk, P.C., has 24 years of experience in marketing, business development and management. She joined Ysrael A. Seinuk, P.C. in 2001, and oversees all website, public relations, marketing and BD efforts. Her previous experience includes marketing and management in the textile and the arts and crafts industries. She was a former scriptwriter for the WNET on-air Art Auction and Assistant Field Survey Coordinator and Archival Research Intern for the New York City Art Commission. She worked in marketing and budgeting for the Galería de Arte Nacionál in Caracas, Venezuela and initiated a project for the creation of a Retail Division for the Tel Aviv Museum in Israel.

Ms. Seinuk-Ackerman holds a BA in Art History, and a MA in Arts Administration. She spends her “free” time doing quilting, manuscript illumination and jewelry design.

 
       

       
  John Rivera

John Rivera is Project Manager for Future Tech Consultants of NY, Inc., a leader in the materials testing, inspection and engineering industry. With over 50 certified inspectors and engineers, John is responsible for monitoring all aspects of the construction inspection process from inception to project close out. John has been in the materials testing and inspection service industry for over eight years. Prior to that, he was project manager for two years of a Long Island based general construction company. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Binghamton University and has construction inspection certifications from New York University.
