Director of Marketing

Direct and manage the operations of LiRo’s Marketing Department, including all functions thereof and Marketing personnel. Maintain a level of high quality in all submissions, including prequalification packages, qualifications statements and technical proposals. Oversee all presentation development and coordination. Developing company standards for proposals and company materials, as well as develop and promote the firm’s corporate identity.

Management of complete submission process, including tracking all opportunities and deadlines, appropriately assigning work to marketing staff, tracking all progress, trouble-shooting all preparation issues, and coordination with principals, upper management, project managers and other technical staff. Be available to staff for reviews as needed, and for QA/QC of more complex and strategic submissions.

Advertising and public relations – Keep aware of all opportunities for advertising in trade publications and others important to our clients. Develop schedule for regularly published press releases, as well as opportunities to match our marketing efforts with publications’ editorial calendars.

Database – Oversee the process for maintaining marketing database accuracy and integrity. Develop and implement systematic process for ongoing review and updating. Facilitate methods for gaining the most use from stored information to assist in developing business development and marketing strategies, and for determining statistics.

Website – Develop protocol for regular updates to keep website fresh for recurring visits / hits. Work with graphic designer to implement established corporate identity standards enabling the website to appear to belong with other LiRo marketing materials. Work with IT to maintain marketing portions of intranet materials available to all personnel.

Continuing education, training & mentoring – Determine and facilitate ongoing opportunities for marketing staff to attain and strengthen their skills, and provide path for achievement and career advancement. Seek outside resources, including trade association involvement (SMPS), for formal education and peer networking.

Cross training – Promote ongoing cross training of skills and specialties among the marketing staff to enable professional development and coverage during absences and times of high volume.

Business Development Strategy – Participate in monthly meetings with principals and business unit heads, developing strategies for building business with existing and new clients. Share focus and implementation intents with Marketing staff.

Title: Marketing Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Marketing
Status: Full-Time

The LiRo Group is seeking a talented, hard-working self-starter to serve as a senior level Marketing Coordinator for its headquarters office in Syosset, Long Island, NY. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing the production of high quality qualifications packages, pre-qualification submissions, technical proposals, and various media for presentations including PowerPoint and display boards. This individual will work directly with principals, department heads, project managers, and other staff in the coordination of all aspects of marketing.

Candidate should be a multi-tasker with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, and be detail and deadline oriented. Experience with typical government forms (SF 254/255, SF 330, etc.), working with Deltek database software, and knowledge of the NYSDOT electronic submission system preferred. Proficiency in other computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Proposal Writer/Specialist

Eschbacher VHB's growing marketing team is searching for a talented proposal writer/specialist in the firm's Hauppauge, NY office. 5 to 7 years experience coordinating and writing proposals in an A/E/P environment. Work directly with technical practitioners and practice builders to prepare proposal materials, including writing, editing, verifying, and formatting proposal information. Ensure that the various aspects of proposal (win themes, technical scope, staff qualifications and experience, biographical data, firm qualifications) and other marketing materials are accurate, timely and well written. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, flexible attitude, and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and continual requests for assistance required. Candidates must be motivated, able to work independently and with teams, be calm under pressure and passionate for attention to detail. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism or related area. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, In-Design or desktop publishing a plus.
